How much did "The Putz" spend on his campaign?? I'm hearing at least $20,000 $20,000 $20,000, $20,000. TWENTY THOUSAND DOLLARS!!!!!!
What's the price per vote. Sounds to me like he bought some votes.

You can always count on the Ralphlings to be gracious.

  1. Guess it was just a matter to time before the nasty snarly comments started to come out.

Let's step back and look at this from another perspective.
    1) Mr. Caruso had a monopoly on the election once he got 2 endorsements from parties he largely controls in Woodbury.
    2) Nobody knows how Caruso was chosen or if there were any other candidates since neither the Republican or Conservative parties meetings are open to the public or to their own party members.
    3) Since the only way to have a real choice in the election was by a write in candidate, that candidate needed to spend money in order to get his name out there and to explain to voters how to do a write in since few people usually exercise that guaranteed right.
    4) Obviously people were willing to contribute to Mr. Sutz's campaign because they believed in him as a qualified candidate and/or wanted to ensure that Woodbury voters actually had a qualified choice in this election
    5) The fact that Mr. Sutz did so well in such a short campaign cycle against
someone having 2 lines, speaks to the fact that voters chose him over Mr. Caruso,

I think all the contributors to Mr. Sutz's campaign should be thanked for being willing to support him, for letting the people of Woodbury know how the election was stacked in favor of only one candidate, and for giving us a choice when the political machinery in Woodbury was willing to deny us that choice.

At a time when the newspapers are full of stories about bullying, shouldn't we as adults set a better example than the above writer's name calling and making
fun of someone else's name. I put little merit in the thoughts of such a person.

  2. I agree with the above comment. The name calling is offensive. Look at today's Record about bullying and hazing. If adults post comments of making fun of someone's name in a disrespectful way, what are we saying to young people? Disgraceful.

  3. I have to agree. Merely rhyming someone's last name with an insult is not terribly creative. You should try to come up with a phrase or description that captures the essence of the individual in question. At least point out a noteworthy aspect of the person, such as the fact that Ralph Caruso is a perfect blend of Mr. Burns and a praying mantis.
